Officers

Officers of the Academy are: the president, the president-elect, the immediate past-president, at least five vice-presidents, a secretary and a treasurer. Vice-presidents must satisfy regional representation as follows: At least two who reside in the Americas, at least two who reside in Europe and at least one who resides in another region. The president and president-elect are elected from the active members of the Academy every two years at an annual meeting to serve a two-year term. All other officers can be re-elected each year or are elected from the active members of the Academy to serve a one-year term.

Council

The Council consists of 20 members who are elected by Academicians and all of the officers of the Academy. A Council member shall be ineligible for reelection to the Council (except as an officer) until two years after the expiration of the elected member’s term on the Council.
