Dr. Ariane de Guillenchmidt Guignot currently rules the Law
Firm she founded (www.avocat-agg.fr)
in 2011. She works on Family law cases, both French and International, and on
files involving patrimony and privacy law. She also deals with cases in
criminal law and litigation. Ariane is trained in collaborative law, completed
a Certificate in Negotiation at Harvard Law School and is fluent in English.
Ariane has also been teaching French civil law at University
for 25 years. She currently teaches “Contract Drafting and Negotiation” and
“Proceeding contracts” at the Law University of Paris Saclay. She trains
students in Master 2 (Bac + 5 years). She also publishes columns and articles
in legal reviews on Family and patrimony law, both in French and English. She
writes an annual column on the decisions rendered by courts and tribunals in
France and in Europe on International Family law in the Revue de droit de la
famille (LexisNexis ed.).
At last, Ariane is the former vice-president of the French
Doctors in Law Association (Association
De Promotion Du Doctorat | Afdd), a member of the Board of the Paris Saclay
School of PhD and a member of the International Academy of Estate and Trust
Law, of the International Bar Association (IBA) and a member of the board of
the Franco-British Lawyers Society (FBLS). At last, Ariane is a regular speaker
in International Law conferences.
RESUME :
Before her current professional activities, Ariane de GUILLENCHMIDT – GUIGNOT,
after graduating from Sciences Po (public administration section) worked for a
rating agency in London (UK) in 2000. Back to France, she became a lawyer
at the Paris Bar in 2003. Meanwhile, she started teaching commercial and civil
law at the Paris university. She supported a PhD in 2007 in Contract
law, with the honors of the unanimous jury at the University of Paris II –
Panthéon Assas. While working on her PhD, Ariane was a Temporary Education and
Research Attaché (Temporary lecturer) at the University of Paris II – Panthéon
– Assas. Then she worked as a law clerk for the President of the French Supreme
Court in Private Law (Cour de cassation). In 2008, Ariane went back to the
Paris Bar, as a trainee for Lawyers before the “Conseil d’Etat” and the “Cour
de cassation” (French Supreme courts) where she dealt with Family law cases and
litigation. In December 2010, she started her own law firm specialized in
dispute and advice concerning family affairs, privacy, patrimony and Law of
individuals. In 2018, Ariane became a partner at the French Law Firm Fidal
dealing with Family law cases, both French and international. In 2021, she
became partner at Bornhauser Law Firm and recreated her own law firm in 2022.
While being a French Lawyer, Ariane always taught civil and commercial law at
Paris University.
